Get ready to Raise The B.A.R. as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Bronx Achievement Foundation.

Join us on June 1, 2024, at the exquisite Marina Del Rey in the Bronx for a day of inspiration, legacy, and community impact. 

We will be celebrating the outstanding achievements of our distinguished honorees at the "Raise The B.A.R." celebration. These individuals have exemplified excellence, leadership, and dedication to our community, inspiring positive change and making a lasting impact in their respective fields.

  • Dr. Ozuah is the President and CEO of Montefiore Medicine, the umbrella organization for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Montefiore Health System’s 13 member hospitals, 300 ambulatory sites, and 7.5 million patient encounters per year. A nationally recognized physician, leader, executive, researcher, teacher and author, Dr. Ozuah leads an organization with 10,000 physicians and 53,000 employees serving a diverse group of patients. A National Institutes of Health (NIH)–funded researcher and award-winning educator, he also served as Professor and University Chairman of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Physician-in-Chief of Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM).

    In his role, Dr. Ozuah has expanded access to care for underserved communities, recruited and cultivated outstanding talent, advanced programs of excellence, fostered innovations in medicine and science, and improved financial and operational performance by integrating care across a rapidly growing and evolving Montefiore system that sees over 7.5 million patient interactions a year with $8 billion in annual revenues.

  • Sharun Goodwin's advocacy for criminal justice reform has led to innovative approaches in probation services, promoting rehabilitation and reintegration.

    She remains a staunch advocate for the Bronx community. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by Bronx residents, Sharun tirelessly works to address their needs and improve quality of life. Her dedication to community advocacy underscores her commitment to fostering positive change and empowerment within the Bronx.

  • His exemplary leadership and financial acumen have been instrumental in the success of the New York Yankees. His strategic vision and commitment to excellence have not only propelled the organization to new heights but have also inspired future generations of leaders in sports management.

    In addition to his role as Retired VP & CFO of the New York Yankees, Robert Brown is deeply committed to community service in the Bronx. He generously dedicates his time and expertise to multiple nonprofit boards, championing causes that uplift and empower Bronx residents. Through his philanthropic endeavors, Robert continues to make a significant impact on the community, embodying the spirit of service and leadership.

  • Vanessa Gibson's unwavering dedication to the Bronx community as Borough President has been nothing short of transformative. Through her visionary leadership, she has played a pivotal role in driving economic growth, fostering social equity, and advocating for the needs of Bronx residents. From spearheading initiatives to revitalize local businesses and attract new investments to implementing programs that address disparities and promote inclusivity, Vanessa has been at the forefront of positive change.
